Yesterday, I was heading back to the office after checking a listing and saw this beautiful petunia growing in a crevice in the road. It's stunning beauty struck me, especially in view of it's rugged surroundings and the wind blowing nearby leaves around as fall approaches. I swung around the block to take a picture. I had left my camera at home, but fortunately had my iphone and snapped this picture.
It struck me somehow that this picture is rather symbolic of our times. They may be rugged for so many folks...and for that it deeply saddens us all...but as we adapt there can be a beauty that defies the surrounding circumstances. Maybe it is in the silver lining of relationships that strengthen during difficult times. Maybe it is stopping to examine your priorities and changing those priorities to the things that really matter. Regardless, a beauty that will eventually enhance one's life can result. Wishing you and yours beauty in your life, where ever it may be found!

But what really marks the beginning of the Fall for Pullman has got to be football! Our first game is tomorrow, (September 5, 2009) against the Standford Cardinals at 3 PM... and you can definitely feel the excitement in the air! Our fans are die hard Cougars through and through! One of my favorite bumper stickers says it all..."Cougars bleed Crimson."
