I would like to take this time to wish all my friends, whether collegues or clients, a Very Special Christmas and a Happy and Most Prosperous New Year!

Today I received a gift from my father from Christmas past that brought joy to my heart and tears to my eyes.... I was so deeply moved I wanted to share it with you.  I was searching through You Tube today and came across Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians.  

This was a band from the big band era and the man who invented The Waring Blender.  My father, Stuart Churchill, was one of Fred's tenor soloists.

I happened to click on the following video and much to my surprise in this simple little video the unmistakable voice came right out of the past...a voice that I miss so much.  He is the first soloist that you hear.  

Today is the last day for finals at Washington State University!   The fall semester is now officially coming to an end here in Pullman and graduation ceremonies took place last Saturday!  

I am up at my son's business, glo tanning salon, covering shifts for our girls so that they can head home early for break.  A special heartfelt wish from me to all our girls...both employees and clients!   It is a really nice change of pace and I am enjoying myself immensely.  Our special girls have really made this business take off...they have all worked really hard this semester helping this business get off to an amazing start.   And our clients really are the best and have really welcomed us....

It is really great to see the excited look on their faces as they stop by before heading home throughout Washington as well as other destinations really throughout the US and the world!  Fortunately for those who are heading over the passes today and tomorrow they won't face adverse weather conditions...but instead should have great traveling conditions.

That is one of the really great things about our great community here in Pullman.  We have so much energy thanks to WSU and all that the university brings!  

And yet, as the last few stragglers leave today our town will take on a quiet hush almost like a fresh snowfall....it is a magical time of year....wishing all safe travels as they head home and a most wonderful time with their families and friends.  Wishing them all a most wonderful break!

Christmas is in the air at my office!  Tonight is our annual Christmas party and all of our agents are really looking forward to it!  I am really blessed to be a part of Beasley Realty.  Our company is an independent family brokerage and I love working for them!  

The history of our company is a long one.  It was originally begun by Ted Beasley in 1971.  Ted as the broker owner of Beasley firmly believed in a family brokerage that cared not only about his Realtors but their families.  Each Christmas he has always had a family orientated celebration for his extended family here at Beasley.

That tradition has been carried on with Mike Werner, our current owner.  He is the son of Melinda Beasley  He purchased the brokerage right before my arrival here in 2007.  

Our office is full of excitement as we look forward to gathering together again this year.  It is a great time and we all really look forward to sharing a wonderful time together.  I look forward to spending the evening with family and friends that all share a bond...we just happen to be great Realtors too!

Thanksgiving always comes a little early for us in Pullman Washington as the Washington State University students pack up to head to their families for Thanksgiving Break.

They are busy heading to and from classes today knowing that a the week ahead will be a great time to re-connect with their families and friends.

It is always amazing to watch the streets in Pullman go from being packed to a special quietness as the students head home.    A wonderful stillness surrounds our community during the Holiday times....

Yet, interestinly today has also been a busy day with lots of showings for myself and lots of our agents.... I have seen lots of activity at our office ...that is great!

I would like to take this time to wish you all  traveling home for Thanksgiving a safe trip and wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!

Usally when I have out of town clients, they ask me to recommend some good places to eat in our wonderful Pullman, WA community.  A very nice place to eat is at Swilly's, not far from my office at Beasley Realty.     Swilly's is located at 200 NE. Kamaiken Street in Pullman and offers great food at very reasonable prices.  

One of my favorites has to be their "Mediterranean Grilled Chicken Sandwich" with a side salad!!!!  For a look at what this great, local establishment has to offer, feel free to browse their menus.
