Pullman WA Real Estate - Lori Cofer's Blog

Today was beautiful in Pullman Washington.  The skies were blue and the temps hit around the mid 80's.  When I have clients come to Pullman from out of town often I suggest they take the hike on Kamiak Butte.

Today, I followed my own advice.  I asked my son and daughter-in-law if they would like to take a walk with the dog to Kamiak Butte.  

Kamiak Butte is only about 20 minutes outside of Pullman.  It is very near Palouse.  It is an absolute wonder. The trails are wooded and alive with green growing things.   I  love anything green...it gives me a sense of peace in this often hectic world in which we live.

Today was a special one.  My daughter-in-law and my son are expecting their first child soon....my first grandchild.  I  can't begin to tell you how I will cherish this day as we walked up the gentle trail knowing that soon, there would be a new member to our family.  I can't wait to show her the beautiful area that I love so much.

From the top it is break taking as it provides view of the quilt work patches of ground that is so near and dear to my heart...my beloved Palouse....and Pullman my home!

Rock Lake - A Day of R&R For Lori Cofer, REALTOR ~ Pullman Washington

It is important we keep our lives in balance.  I love what I do..in fact I would say I am a workacholic  workafrolic!  But we all need some R&R to keep everything in perspective.  So... it was a beautiful day here in Pullman Washington....topped out at around 73 degrees. Who could resist?!!!  

Fortunately for me, my hubby grabbed the portable BBQ, a lawn chair and his fishing gear and took me to his new favorite place.  It is a private park on the edge of Rock Lake.  Absolutely beautiful!!   There is a private little park complete with picnic benches, BBQ pits and a dock!   The owners of this little piece of heaven were gracious enough to tell my hubby that he was welcome anytime, and he thought today was the perfect day to surprise me!  Boy was he right!!!   It was a bit of heaven on earth!!!

Even the drive was fantastic as it is so unique to go from the rolling hills of the Palouse with its fertile farm fields, to the strong jutting basalt that surrounds the lake!  Rock Lake is about one hour north of Pullman Washington,  and it was amazing to see the transition in the landscape as we traveled.    We saw tons of wildlife all around the lake including turkeys, deer, geese and ducks.  We could hear the turkeys calling and were fortunate to see one!  I also saw two deer who patiently let me take their picture!  And being the Realtor I am, I also marveled at a wonderful round barn along the highway! 

As I lay on the lawn chair relaxing the cares of this world just floated away. Sometimes you need to just stop and let your peace return to you. That is what R& R is all about!   Here are just a few pictures of the day.  Hope you enjoy!  PS...the one on the bottom kind of says it all!!!!
