The official beginning of Fall may still be weeks away, but for Pullman Washington Fall is here! Living in a community that is centered around Washington State University makes Pullman special! Our town literally explodes this time of year as the students return and our town nearly doubles. Classes both on the WSU campus and our local area Pullman schools have begun!
But what really marks the beginning of the Fall for Pullman has got to be football! Our first game is tomorrow, (September 5, 2009) against the Standford Cardinals at 3 PM... and you can definitely feel the excitement in the air! Our fans are die hard Cougars through and through! One of my favorite bumper stickers says it all..."Cougars bleed Crimson."
Our die hard fans will pour into town from all over the state, many in RVs that become stage central for tailgate parties...and there will be tons of those! And the weather looks like it will be awesome both today and for the big game tomorrow! I tell you what....you gotta love living in Pullman Washington!!! GO COUGS!

What fun a college town is! I can almost smell the delicious offerings from the tailgate parties. Thanks for sharing Lori.
I'm ready for fall...I always hate the end of summer, but the great weather, football and structure of the school year is always a bit welcome. Good luck with your team! We are 49er fans, so we are going to have a tough fall again this year :/
Lori, nothing like college football to kick off Fall. Me being a Florida Gator alum do you think I have any of that in my blood? LOL. Good luck to WSU against Stanford.
Susan: Well today is the big day! I am sure it will be great! Thanks for stopping by!
Karen: I feel the same way...love summer but also love the changes of the seasons....
Gary: Yes, somehow college football says fall! And thanks! Go COUGS!
