Window on the Palouse From A Homestead Root Cellar Outside Pullman WA

This is a picture I took outside of Pullman Washington earlier this Spring.  On one my favorite spots there is a homestead root cellar that still stands.  And I have been fortunate to meet the gentleman who grew up at this homestead many years ago.  I had my camera and thought I would take some pictures.  As I got closer I saw this amazing view of the Palouse through the window!  I think it has to be my favorite picture of all time.  Enjoy!

PS.  A few wanted to know the story behind the picture so..thanks for the urging...here is the story with another picture from the distance.

Hi Lori... what a great shot... I love the hardness and detail of the stone against the softness of the landscape.

Steve ~ Thank you so much...the stone really is amazing in itself...

Lori,

This shot is framed beautifully. The muted colors all work well together.
