Yesterday was the last day of first session Summer School at Washington State University.   There still remains a second and a third session.  The first session of Summer School has been   unusually rainy and cold weather as the Pacific Northwest has been pelted with storm after storm. But at least yesterday and today the Sun is out and shinning bright.

Summer is unusual here in Pullman.  The majority of students go home during their Summer break.  It leaves a quiet hush in Pullman.  I found it ironic today as I looked out the window to see the clock tower at WSU down for repairs during the summer.  It is as if time stands still waiting for the students to once again return.

WSU Summer Session

This same scene in a mere 6 weeks will be full of hustle and bustle as the nearby sororities and fraternities get their houses open in preparation for Rush, andthe dormitories explode overnight as well. Living in a College Town has it's own change of Seasons, both seasonal and around our wonderful Washington State University.   Go COUGS!

Hi Lori: Well, I'm coming to Seattle next month and I sure hope it warms up. Last time I was in Seattle was in 1995 in August. I had to buy a sweater it was so cold. Of course, Pullman isn't Seattle.

I imagine it's fun to live in a college town. I grew up near the campus of the Univ of Minnesota.
