In Pullman Washington, we are not use to temperatures above 90 very often. Many of our homes in more established neighborhoods don't have air conditioning. I grew up in Lewiston~ Clarkston where air conditioning was a necessity. Here the temperatures cool off to a lovely 50 degrees not long after the sun goes down. So I love the fresh air and cool breezes in the evening and sleep best that way.
But today was uncomfortably hot for us in Pullman, and for many in Washington and Oregon with this heat wave. Tomorrow is expected to hit 94 degrees. That is just too darn hot....at least for me.
Sooo....in my feeble way to cool off this evening....I had to pull up a picture I had taken in my back yard 2 winters ago! I sure didn't enjoy that snow much then...but it sure looks absolutely refreshing now. Now where did I leave my ice pack....

Lori, it looks like it's going to be the hottest summer in quite awhile but ironically in Texas it's cooler than last year?!?! Go figure ;-)
Ha ! We're having our hottest summer in years too - but boy I dont miss that picture of the white stuff Lori !!!!
Now I want a sno cone!
That's a pretty cute picture, Lori. We had a long cool Spring and Summer until just recently. I do like the heat.
Lori: Lots of folks around the world are really feeling the heat this summer. Great year if you're in refrigeration!
Nice Post Lori, I also love the font you are using, how are you doing that? I only have the foint that is given to us. How are you and so many others getting such different fonts & colors?
Ok guys....how cool is this! I think this is the very post ever where I have six comments from guys...in a row....I think that is amazing. Ken, I will email you and see if I can help....
Hi Lori, All the oppressive heat around the US has thus far passed over us. It is normally very warm where I live, but certainly not like other places until late August through October. The we get ours and I empathize with those having to cope. For now at least, we are considered cooler than normal. Great photo and hoped it helped out a little. :-)
Water, drink tons of it. And, look up my blogs from last month's series on national ice cream month - calories consumed eating ice cream when it's above 90F, don't count!!!! LOL

Lori,
We have the same conditions in Colorado. Many homes are without A/C, yet this trend is changing due to higher temps for about a month during the summer.
Sure it's warm ... but at least you don't have to shovel it! Juli's advice in #10 is perfect.
William ~ It did....today was really hot...stood in a new construction home waiting for the appraiser for an hour in the heat of the day...
Juli ~ Yes you are right....on the water at least! Wish it was true about ice cream...
Cherise ~ Yes...certainly with new construction for sure...
John ~ Ok....I have heard twice from two very reliable sources...guess I will have to indulge!
It sounds "HOT" out there. I don't remember it being that warm in 1992-93 when I attended WSU many, many years ago to get my elementary ed endorsement... ;>)))
Ann-Marie,
So...you are a COUG! How awesome! It is hot....hopefully today will cool down a bit.... :)
Hey Lori, love the pic!, my dad used to be the head sign painter out in WSU, he paineted the field at cougar stadium, and he painted the mural of ferdinand at the ice cream shop.
Ross,
That is very cool indeed! Does he still paint signs?
I'm right there with you, this last week has been way to hot. We are expected to go back to the 80 through the weekend and I'm so glad, I didn't like 100, that sucked.

Todd,
Yesterday was so much better...and really glad about that. I had showings in the heat of the day from 3 to 6 and it was still a bit hot...but not nearly as bad as the day before...
