Wednesday was a warm day here in Pullman Washington. It almost hit 85° I am hoping summer might of finally arrived in Pullman!
I thought I would share with you a few warm weather tips for looking homes, whether in our lovely town of Pullman, or anywhere for that matter!
1. It is a good idea to have a bottle of water. Often we look at several homes throughout today. It can be very tiring, not to mention hot as we jump in and out of the car after sitting in the sun. So it does help to have water handy.
2. Shoes that you can slip on and off quite easily. I myself prefer sandals in this warm weather, but anything that doesn’t require you to have to tie and untie your shoes will make your day easier.
3. Dress in layers. It is quite warm right now, but as we head into the evening, it can get quite chilly at night in Pullman. We could have a quick shower, so a jacket with a hood or an umbrella might come in handy for those early unpredictable showers here in Washington.
4. Take notes on the preview sheets. It really does help to limit your showings to 3 or 4 houses. After that, folks tend to go on house overload. But if you can make a few notes on the tour sheets, it will help you sort out which homes you want to drop off the list, and which ones just might fit the criteria to be your next Pullman Home!

Lori:
Very nice post and great advice. Hope you have a super weekend.
Lori, great ideas, we've already had over 15 days of 100 degrees or higher in Austin. Taking a bottle of water and dressing right are essentials.
85 is really warm for Washington. Glad you are prepared for the weather. We have had 90 or above all but two days out this month in North Georgia. Have a great weekend : )
Lori, it must be a shock to you for the temperature to skyrocket like that! I have been showing in 103 high temps! It's scary and hard on the old bod!
The notes on the preview sheets is exceptional Lori because many houses do tend to blur together when looking.
Lori, great tips! We've had so much rain here lately that I don't think anyone is carrying anything but an umbrella! :D
Great buyer tips to beat the heat, Lori! I carry a cooler of water and drinks and a Trader Joe bag of goodies with me in my car so that buyers don't dehydrate on me! I think I've forgotten most of my nursing duties to treat dehydration so, I'd rather prevent it instead!! LOL
Hope you have a FABULOUS Fourth!
On hot days I actually carry a cooler in the back of my car with lots of water for me and my clients.
