As July and Summer is in full swing here in Pullman Washington, I thought I would jot down some ideas that sellers could implement to help them get that SOLD sign in front of their home.
With temperatures climbing into the 90’s in the next few days it looks like summer is finally here in spite of our rather wet June.
So now is the time to make sure you get those sprinklers on. If you have a sprinkler system, keep that grass as green as you can. Most people find a green lawn a major component of curb appeal. And if you don’t have a sprinkler system, make sure you tuck those hoses away.
A nice pot or two of flowers can really brighten up that front door. Some people don’t realize how the time at the front door sets the tone for the showing. That is when the anticipation for the showing is at it’s highest. And it is a time when we spend a few minutes getting the key out of the lock box etc. So make your front door shine.
And crank up the air conditioning! The buyers, not to mention their agent, are hot traveling to and from listings with the car never really getting to cool down!
Another nice touch is to leave some bottled water in an ice filled bowls for your guests. It is much appreciated and will help your house stand out from the rest. And your buyers will know you appreciated them coming to look at your home, and as a seller, you would love to see an offer on their Pullman home!

Having a house that is well over 90 degrees is a quick way to lose buyers. I've had many showings of great homes cut short by hot homes.
Lori All great tips. I had a vacant home where the central air was off for three days - ir was not a good time for a failure
